Who We Are
The Manitoba Tourism Education College (MTEC) was established in 2014 as a not-for-profit associated corporation of the Manitoba Tourism Education Council. The college is a registered private vocational institution and regulated by the Province of Manitoba.
The college is also a federally approved Designated Learning Institution, which permits it to train international students.
The Manitoba Tourism College provides six, seven and eight week training programs that were developed to quickly get future employees working in the industry.
The college also delivers ten month training programs that prepare graduates to work in the hospitality industry as well as many other industries in Manitoba.
The Mission of the Manitoba Tourism Education College is to continually provide the Manitoba Tourism industry, and beyond, with a well-trained workforce by providing short and long-term comprehensive training programs.

Attendance Policy
90% attendance is required to graduate from all the College programs.
Enrollment Numbers
In 2025 there was one student that paid for the Line Cook Training Program.
Note: The College awarded scholarships for 55 students for an 8-Week Training Program that included Front Desk Clerk & Housekeeping Room Attendant, Line Cook and Bartending and Food & Beverage Server training.
Post-Graduation Employment Data
The student who paid for the tuition for the Line Cook Training Program graduated and secured employment.

Of the 55 scholarship students; 49 graduated and 33 graduates secured employment.
